“Say”, the new single by Marco Bonvicini, a songwriter, singer and guitarist from Bologna, is available as of May 9th 2025. on Italian radio stations and all digital stores, anticipating the new album that will be released after the summer. “Say” explores the theme of soul-searching and resilience, through images of light and change, it is a call on reflection and the need to act while we still have time. The questions he poses in the song are about human frailties and longing for a lasting love.
Conjuring up the past and the deep connection between two people, the lyrics are about hope and determination, and the conviction that, regardless, one can always find a way to start over again. “I chose Say as a single because it is a very straightforward song that sums up well the musical direction of the new album. With Say I wanted to create a bridge between the acoustic style of my early work and the electric one. Going for a sound that really represents me at this time…”, says Marco Bonvicini.

The videoclip, shot in Marzaglia, in the province of Modena, was made with two main background scenes. One exterior and one interior to highlight the union between the acoustic side and the electric side. While filming was done with a focus on depth of field and lighting to emphasize the melancholy and intimacy of the song. The soaring beginning describes the power of words spoken in a relationship. And the risk that these can sometimes push away rather than bring someone closer.
